Hi Sven.

You can try to retrieve the GML using the GetFeature request:

 http://$YOUR_SERVER?service=WFS&REQUEST=GetFeature&SERVICE=WFS&TYPENAME=$YOUR_LAYER&VERSION=1.0.0

If the column that you comment is on this file you can send it us and we 
will have a look. Should it be possible to have access to your WFS server?
