Hello Silvio,
I'm supposing the filter you're talking about is the associated one to
the table of a vectorial layer. If not, I'll probably can't reply your
question.
The expression you can write there is an subset of SQL, the part of the
"WHERE". I think it was made thus to be compatible with other old
subsystems in gvSIG.
You can try other SQL sentences, anyway, some of them could run.
For instance: TOPONIMO like 'A%'
It's probably that in the future, gvSIG could support more complex SQL
sentences.
