Hi Wolfgang and list,

Your colleague is not the only one to work this way...  Regularly we  
copy and paste geometry betwen sapefile (or entities in file  
geodatabase since it's replace shapefile now in arcview).  It's the  
fastest way to update data.  So expect also to be able to do that.   
Sometime we select manually, other time whe make a spatial querry than  
copy and paste to the other shape.
