[Gvsig_english] gvSIG build 1212 "portable"

Hello everybody,

I am trying the gvSIG 1212 build versions within Virtualbox 2.0.2 in a Windows xp home edition system.
When I work as a "tester" I always use Virtualbox to not "harm" my computer.
Unfortunately, at work I can't use Virtualbox because our administrator doesn't allow
this.
I can't even dual-boot my computer because they are very strict.

In short, to use the 1212 build version at work, I am wondering if is it
possible to update gvSIG 1.1 portable in order to transform it in
"gvSIG 1212 build portable".
The link for the gvSIG portable version is: http://downloads.gvsig.org/pub/images/gvSIG1.1USB/
In a previous mail in this mailing list José Antonio wrote:
"Iam pretty sure gvSIG 2
will be "portable" as well because creating a portable version of gvSIG
is really easy. You just need to create a proper folder structure and put
everything (Java Runtime, gvSIG, running scripts) in its place.
It's also possible to update a portable version of gvSIG (I think the 3rd
meeting USB had gvSIG 1.1.1) to put 1.1.2, SEXTANTE and so on. You just need to
select the JRE and the gvSIG USB folders when you run the installer and that's
all"

In the past, I have update my portable version with Sextante. Everything worked just fine (thanks to José Antonio suggestion).
Today, I have tried with the 1212 build but it didn't work.
First the Java machine failed.
I know I should have stopped but I tried to install the 1212 build though.
The installation was completed "succesfully" but now gvSIG hangs without starting.
I attached a pdf with all my steps.

To sum up, here's my question.
Is it possible to update the gvSIG 1.1 portable with a build version in a Windows xp system? This in order to test the build version in a safe environment.
Must I update the Java machine as well (I suppose the answer is yes)?
I answer this last question because I noticed there is a 1212 build without the Java machine (so, maybe, the old Java machine is good).

Best regards,

Silvio
