Hello Marie-Claude
I have tested the data You sent me and the buffer geoprocess works
correctly on my installation of gvSIG 1.1.2 (italian version on
Windows XP).
Your buffer seems to be generated with the "dissolve entities"
checkbox unchecked (45 different buffer polygons, some of which
overlapped, from 45 source polygons). You can distinguish the
overlapping features setting the transparence in the properties
(symbology) of the buffer theme.
In my test, checking on the the "dissolve entities" checkbox, all
overlapping buffer features correctly dissolve in a unique feature
(resulting only 25 polygons in the buffer theme).
Maybe your problem could be due to the Operating System (i.e. Vista is
not yet completely supported).
Try again reinstalling the package.
Best regards
Ernesto
