[Gvsig_english] gvSIG international program: question about Tcharting tool presentation

Unfortunately, PS is a publishing format, not so much suitable
for editing. Ideally, a future version of gvSIG should produce
standard SVG. Inkscape is now up to par with Illustrator.
Would love to be able and use it for map production.

Ben

Hello Silvio,

AI format is mainly intended to be used with Adobe Illustrator, so that
the charts can be prepared for printing: color enhancement, text labels
positioning, line widths corrections etc.

There is a possibility to open it with other open source solutions, such
as Inkscape or Scribus. However, when using these solutions I recommend
exporting to .ps format, which is supported by GvSig, as this format is
more likely to be correctly opened and edited.

Cheers,
Vladimir
