[Gvsig_english] novice question: adding xx°xx'xx" (degree, minute, seconds) from dbf file to accurate projection

You are trying to add a event layer based on geographic coordinates,
aren't you?

Well I think you should parse your coordinates to convert them from
dºm's'' to decimal degrees (with a little effor this can be done with
the field calculator creating serveral fields and doing some replace and
simple calculations).

Besides the numbers issue, selecting the correct datum is up to you, if
you don't now it, try to use EPSG:4326.
