[Gvsig_english] Use of gvSIG by Government Land Department

Hello Adam.
 
Regarding freedom to use, my collegues have already told you about the GPL license.
 
Regarding government use. It was created by a government office. It's been used in County government land management departments, and yes it's OK for a government entity to use the software.
 
Here you have some interesting links  [1] and  [2]. [2] has been produced byt the Government funding gvSIG, so it's an official document about gvSIG usage in Government Offices.,

I work in a County Land Management office in Itasca County, Minnesota, United States.
 
I would like to use the gvSIG software. 
 
The county computer network administrator will not install the program without documentation that is OK for a government entity to use the software.
 
Is it OK for us to use?  She says that free software is sometimes only free for personal use and not corporate use.  We are County government land management (forestry) department.
 
Please advise.
