[Gvsig_english] world file and on-the fly transformationfor vectorlayers

Thank you for this information, obviously I need to start my ArcMap some day and see all the nice features I have not seen before of already forgotton.  I was thinking all the time that this world file is the raster world file, often referred as "ESRI world file". Actually this ESRI vector world file seems to be exactly what I was thinking about when I was writing about the warp file format. There is a minory chance for confusion with the file extension because .wld is what gdal is using for a universal raster world file extension, in stead of image file format specific ESRI standard naming (.tfw, .pgw, .eww, .j2w and so on). However, if there are not images with with gdal .wld world files and vector files having the same base name in the same directory there will not be any trouble.

Warping with more than two control points can make sense if someone is digitising features from scanned maps.  They can have bad local distortions, especially if they are scanned from books.
