Hi Nicklas.

About the patch, is a contribution from JASPA team:

http://forge.osor.eu/projects/jaspa/

The patch is in source code, and we hope to include it in 1.11 release. 
If you are interested in testing it, we can send to your private e-mail 
the modified libraries and you can copy them manually to your gvSIG's 
installation.

About the locked table, I will test if this happens also in 2D and we 
will open a bug if this is the case. Anyway, in 2.0 release, PostGIS 
driver totally rewritten.
