What it is about is how to handle "dirty" polygons that is invalid.

Maybe I am wrong, but AFAIK there isn't such a method in gvSIG. In gvSIG3D
is up to the user to define polygons correctly otherway you will get an
unexpected behavior, that usually becomes in visual artifacts. The same
serves for the gvSIG 2.0 branch .
