[Gvsig_english] error or bug

dear list,

i'm new starting with gvsig, looks promising. but after a while, or last 
time after import of data (screenshot) it "crashes". there is no menu 
bar anymore at each window. is it already known or can somebody help me?
using ubuntu 11.04 with sextante 1.10
