[Gvsig_english] gvSIG 1.12 error message: Failed to install symbol editor. org.gvsig.symbology.gui.styling.CharacterMarker

Apologies for new (repetition) of topic. But the answer function did not
work...

Sorry to say but NONE of the two solutions worked for me on my Windows 7
64bit system:

1) I copied the symbol folder from a gvSIG 1.11 installation - no change.
2) I installed with the plugin manager java 32bit - no change.
3) I rebooted the computer - no change.

I will try to install the recommended "portable" version asap. However, I do
not really understand what the difference is between a "portable" version
and a "desktop" version. Why 2 different versions for the same release. What
are the differences...?
