Regarding documentation, this is a problem that we as a community have
to face. I mean, the idea of "gvSIG has no good docs, «they» need to
improve it" is not really constructive in a free software project.
Everyone is welcomed to write or improve the documentation and the gvSIG
team is there to happily coordinate. gvSIG is a huge software with
hundreds of screens and procedures to document. This is not a task to
two or three people that also have to take care of other also important
tasks.

I don't want to go to the typical free software rant of "you don't like
something? don't complain, fixing is it up to you" but at some level I
insist, this is a responsibility for all of us.

Just for the shake of recognition, the gvSIG quickstart[1] written by
Simon for the OSGeo Live was a good example of contribution to the
project in coordination with the gvSIG team (through myself as a gvSIG
contact at the OSGeo Live project). The quickstart has been translated
into six different languages, by the way.

Regards
