It would be an improvement, developers are going to review it. You can 
upload the feature request as Antonio told you.

If you open the table, and access to the menu Table-Properties, you can 
active the "Geometry" field. at the attribute table you will see all the 
WKT. With info tool you will see only the geometry type, but clicking on 
that field with right button you can select the last option to see the 
WKT.

If you put the layer in editing mode and you put the cursor close to a 
line, don't you see any difference if you have the snap value in 2 
pixels or 16 for example? At this way you have to see the difference.
