[Gvsig_english] Installation Crashes.

Hi guys

This is my first post so be gentle!

The appropriate binary is downloaded to my Download folder, but when I
try and install gvSIG with the following:

neil at neil-desktop:~$ cd Downloads
neil at neil-desktop:~/Downloads
$ ./gvSIG-desktop-2.1.0-2252-rc2-lin-x86_64-standard-withjre.run 

it launches the language select box and when I click on OK it crashes.

Any help would be much appreciated, as I need to install the software to
participate in the online course.

System Spec:
14.10 Ubuntu Gnome, M5A99X EVO R2.0, AMD FX-8320, ATI 7750.
