Hi Mario

I checked the layer according to your advice which should be o.k.

The error is the typed in name of the file:

"File not found

name.shp not found.

Do you want to locate the file?"

Afterwards:

"An error has occured exporting a store

Checks parameters

Errors found validating 'Persistence:SHPNewStoreParameters'. Field
'geometryType': Value required"

Many thanks

Marcus

the layer has any error.
> There's a script in gvSIG to validate the layers. You can check if your
layer has any error. You can put the layer active and then go to Tools->
Scripting-> Scripting Launcher, and to the System tab. You open the
folder org.gvsig.app.mainplugin, and run the "validate_layer" script. It
will inform you about if it has any error.

Irrespectively if I put in a name or I select a file from the folder,

tried several versions of gvSIG 2.1. The last on is "2.1.0.2262
