This issue, corresponding to December 2007 (Vol. VIII, issue no. 6), is
available now at

This issue features the following sections:

* A monograph that under the title "Free Software: Research and Development"
describes last developments in the Free Software field and how they can
shape the future of research and development activities, and even of the
so-called new economy itself.

The guest editors of this monograph are Andrea Capiluppi (University of
Lincoln, UK), José-Rafael Rodriguez-Galván and Manuel Palomo-Duarte (Free
Software Office, Universidad de Cádiz, Spain), and Israel Herraiz
(Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Spain).

* UPENET (UPGRADE European NETwork), with an article from the Spanish
journal Novática which presents some controversies that the introduction of
electronic passports has led to. They are related to security features of
those passports and new threats to the privacy of passport holders.

The monograph of this issue is also published in Spanish (full issue printed
already available; summary, presentation, abstracts and some articles online
also available at http://www.ati.es/novatica ) by Novática, issue 190
(November-December 2007).
