[Gvsig_english] Error trying to open ECW files

Hello everybody,
this is is my first post on the list, so hopefully I'm not too off topic or 
asking something old. I've been using GvSig for a really short time (actually 
I'm stil learning a lot about it) and I'm really beginning to appreciate it.

I've been working for a while on a personal "project" but I've got a stop 
trying to add an ECW layer to a view. ECW is supposed to be supported, but 
GvSig simply refuses to open any file saved in this format and returns an 
error message (see below).

I'm using GVSig with its own java machine on a PC running Kubuntu 7.04.
I've downloaded and installed the new raster pilot exstension.

Can anybody help?

When I try and open an ECW file I always get the following error in the java
