Well, I'm really happy to see another "succesful use case" here,
specially from the other side of the world :-)

About scripting: for gvSIG 2.0 there's a brand new scripting
extension, developed by a grant holder at gvSIG headquarters. I think
it will be one of the great add ons from the user point of view in the
2.0 release.

I've just thought the same as I was reading Simon's mail...

What about refactor your mail as an OSGeo journal article? I think
with a little bit of work it would fit very well. I can help with the
LaTeX editing stuff if it's needed.
