I agree that thse concerns are valid and important.
People need a strong motivation to contribute and
getting credit for their work can provide that.

Since the Wiki would be ours, we are free to design it
any way we like. There is nothing to stop us from making
sure that every tutorial on the site has a header that
declares all main authors and contributors.

All we need is a consensus and then we can vote for one
or more editors who will see to it that all contents
meet our guidelines.

Probably I will state the obvious too by saying that every personal effort should be recognized.
For example, quite simply, regarding Anna's PDF guides, one could put a link into the gvSIG's Wiki page.
This link points to the web-page where her work is available for downloading.

In the Italian manual of gvSIG (version 1.1), which is available from the gvSIG's webpage, all Italian translators were indicated.
