Aspect and slope are local and continuously distributed 
properties that cannot be represented properly by a vector layer.

The standard method would be to dissolve the contour lines
into a points map (with every point being assigned the elevation
value of the contour line that it was a node of); then take
that and interpolate into a continuous elevation raster map.
